Refunds and cancellation

Refund and Cancellation Policy

Draft policy for subscription cancellation, refund requests and access after cancellation.

Last updated: June 24, 2026

Legal review required before PROD

Draft for DEV validation only. This is not legal advice. Requires review and acceptance by a qualified lawyer before any PROD publication, checkout, onboarding, sales proposal, App Store submission or customer contract use.

Cancellation

Customers should be able to cancel a paid subscription through the approved account, checkout or support flow once billing is enabled.

The final policy must confirm whether access continues until the end of the paid billing period and what happens to active automations, agents and connected channels after cancellation.

If a customer cancels, Max AI may need to pause paid automations, paid model usage, integrations or workspace access according to the accepted plan terms.

Refund requests

Refund requests should be sent to support@maxaiagent.app with the billing email, workspace name, invoice reference and reason for the request.

The final refund window, eligibility rules, statutory rights and business-versus-consumer handling must be approved by a lawyer before PROD.

For B2B plans, the final policy may treat paid periods, consumed usage, setup work, AI credits and custom work differently from consumer purchases, but this must be clear before payment.

Consumer and renewal rules

If Max AI enables consumer checkout, the final flow needs lawyer-approved cancellation, cooling-off, renewal reminder and refund wording.

If Max AI remains business-only, checkout and onboarding should make the business-use scope clear before payment.

AI credits and usage

Unused AI credits, included usage and overage handling must be defined in the final commercial policy.

If credits are promotional, non-refundable, expire, or do not roll over, that must be stated clearly at checkout before payment.

Credits that have already been consumed by model calls, automations, file processing or connected-tool work should be treated separately from unused credits in the final policy.

Failed payments and chargebacks

If a payment fails, Max AI may limit access, pause expensive AI work, request an updated payment method or downgrade the workspace according to the accepted plan terms.

Chargebacks, fraud risk, abuse or misuse may result in suspension while support investigates the account.
